* I used to like Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock, when I was a fan of WWE(F!). I gradually lost interest in wrestling, grew out of it if you will (plus what happened to Chris Benoit and his family, the heart attacks suffered by wrestlers like the British Bulldog and the unfortunate accident suffered by Owen Hart also contributed as well...) I also realised that I didn’t really like Limp Bizkit and Kid Rock anymore because some of their music promotes what I call “knob-headery” – stuff I don’t believe in and they do really associate themselves with Rap music, which I don’t like for the same reasons. Limp Bizkit in particular seemed to produce stuff which were an insult to fans. I still like some of their songs, which is why I kept these particular albums, but I wouldn’t buy any new ones by them because I don’t like the things they stand for.

THE REST

COMPILATIONS:

Phoenix Risen
Kerrang! High Voltage

I don’t buy many of these, as they usually contain just a few good songs and all the rest is mediocre or worse. They just seem to be produced with the idea of selling the mediocre stuff in mind because otherwise, no one would buy them. To make it worse, you usually get a double album where all the “good” songs are on one disc and all the crap on the other, so you only ever end up listening to one disc anyway but get charged for the equivalent of two albums. It didn’t used to be the case or it maybe that my taste in music has matured as I got older. Who knows?!

SOUNDTRACKS:

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
Spiderman 1
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
Star Wars: The Attack of the Clones
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Star Wars: A New Hope
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi

I only tend to get soundtracks to films I really like, and ten I’m fussy about which ones I get. Just like you sometimes get tribute albums to certain bands/artists, you sometimes get the same for music from films and these annoy me when I’m looking for the proper soundtrack...The Spiderman one I only got because of Chad Kroger and Theory of a Deadman songs on it.
